On completion of this 2 day RYA better sailing level 3 course, the successful student will have a fuller understanding of the principles covered in RYA keelboat Levels 1 & 2 courses. This level 3 course will give confidence and will help improved the students sailing technique.
The RYA keelboat level 3 course aims to provide a bridge to the advanced modules and to make progress easier for those sailors wishing to progress further through the scheme and undertake Seamanship Skills or other advanced techniques.
Tuition is provided by RYA trained keelboat instructors, using appropriate supervision ratio of a maximum of 4 students per boat. The students' knowledge and ability will be assessed on a continuous basis. Students will be kept informed of their individual progress throughout the course.

Introduction to use of Tide Tables. Understands the effect of tide/current and wind direction on sailing conditions
