Just completed my Powerboat Level 2 and had a fantastic couple of days down in Southampton! Bryan our instructor was fantastic throughout the entire weekend, he was clear, informative and a great laugh to be around. Would highly recommend!

My daughter (12) and I did a powerboat 2 training. Our Instructor was Bryan, who was absolutely amazing. Super helpful, knowledgeable, extremely calm and funny. Neither I nor my daughter felt confident before the course. However Bryan made it so much fun, yet we have learned a great deal. He is a credit to the company. I even discovered that my daughter is a daredevil, I think she surprised herself. We came from a complete novices to much more confident crew in just two days. Thank you for a super weekend.

Me and my 12 year old daughter did the Powerboat Level 2 course with the legendary Nick and Magnus. This course was brilliant fun, we got to do so much time on the water, and learnt so many new skills. My daughter loved it. I also want to share just how incredible Nick and Magnus were - fantastic, patient teachers, and also absolute gentleman. Highly recommend them both! Also, all of the staff we encountered inside the building were friendly and kind, really recommend this place!! Thank you from Kate and Sorcha! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did the RYA Powerboat L2 with Solent Training and had a great experience. Our instructor, Brian, was really thorough and made sure we learnt a lot and had fun. The kit and equipment is all decent too. Definitely good value for money overall.

Completed two practical courses with SBT (mileage builder and day skipper) - both were excellent. Instructors were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The boats are very well maintained and the 4:1 student/instructor ratio is really beneficial. Would happily return to SBT in the future.

Just completed the RYA Day Skipper practical course at SBT and couldn’t be happier with both the course content and the quality of instruction. Our instructor, Tim Pentall, instantly created an atmosphere of camaraderie amongst the crew, which lasted the whole 5 days - I hadn’t laughed so much for many years. The instruction given was top class, covering the DS syllabus but also concentrating on real world applications, with an appropriate level of encouragement and feedback both positive & (necessarily) negative being given. The night exercise in particular was comprehensively planned and appraised. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both course and instructor to anyone looking to pursue a RYA sailing qualification.

He really helped me feel more confident on the water .Grateful for such a positive and empowering experience!

Me, my wife and my daughter had an excellent experience learning with Bryan. From start to finish, he was just fantastic!. His friendly attitude immediately put us at ease, and he explained everything clearly and in a way that was easy to understand no matter how complex the topic seemed at first. What stood out most was his patience. No question was ever too small or too repetitive, and he always took the time to ensure I fully understood each step before moving on. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Thanks to his calm guidance and clear instruction, we now really feel confident and safe behind the wheel of a powerboat. I highly recommend Solent Boat Training to anyone looking to learn in a supportive and professional environment!

Tim was a great instructor, he was always very helpful and informative whilst also being fun and kind. As someone who had never been on a sailing boat before, Tim teaching gave me great confidence and new skills. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested.
