The instructor was amazing. He took the time to ensure I learnt everything in a low stress way. The classroom, equipment, oil skins and boat all in very good condition. Everyone was very nice to me.

Had a great couple of days doing powerboat level 2. I learnt a lot and it was very enjoyable throughout.

Just completed my third course with SBT and can't recommend them highly enough. Great facilities, highly skilled and knowledgeable instructors who take the time to clearly explain and demonstrate maneuvers to ensure you get to the required standards. I live in London but gladly drive to Southampton happy in the knowledge that I'm getting the best. Next course coming up next month and can't wait! Thank you SBT and team.

Excellent facility. Boats and an instructors are top notch

In September 2023 my wife and I, along with our two adult children decided we like the idea of learning to sail. After a bit of browsing and reading online reviews, we plumped for SBT as a starting point. We jumped straight in with the Competent Crew course and have never looked back. The course was pitched perfectly for enthusiastic beginners, Terry our instructor was great and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Since then, my wife and I have gone on to start our Day Skipper course, starting with the theory, and later this week the 5-day practical course. Between the Competent Crew and the Day Skipper we have also joined SBT for two day sails and last weekend, a two day mile-builder. All have been enjoyable, informative and really valuable experiences. All the instructors we have had have been patient, supportive, good fun and keen to pass on their love of sailing. I'd have no hesitation in recommending SBT to anyone looking to start the same journey.

Did the 2 day PB2 course with 2 friends and we had the best time! We were taught by Bryan and Sean who are both great instructors, extremely experienced and knowledgeable and they really built our confidence on the water. Would definitely recommend Solent Boat Training and will defo use them again for further courses.

Recently did a 2 day mile builder with SBT, with Andrew as the skipper, he was exceptionally experienced, very composed and shared a lot of knowledge with us. Second time using SBT, both great experiences, will definitely be going back soon.

I completed two courses (RYA VHF SRC Radio and Diesel Engine) with Solent Boat Training. The instructors were very knowledgeable in their areas. I learned a lot. The sessions were very interactive and aimed not to leave any unclear subject. Currently, I am looking forward to attending my next scheduled training - SBT Outboard Engine Course.

Location with parking very accessible & easy to find. Course structure was well thought out & progressive. Tutor, Bryan was incredibly knowledgeable & a lovely person to learn off. Highly recommend this course & centre.
