I completed a two-day RYA Powerboat Level 2 course with Bryan. It was an excellent experience, characterised by his clear guidance and explanations.

I had a really great experience with Solent Boat Training. I did a 2-day Mile Builder and the 5-day Day Skipper Practical Sailing course with Matt. Staff is friendly, the yacht was in great condition and the 4-to-1 student/instructor ratio is perfect for learning. I highly recommend this training centre!

I completed my competent crew course with SBT. Having never sailed before except one dinghy lesson I was nervous, however not at any point did I feel unsafe or too stressed out (apart from judging my own skills of course ????). I have AuDHD and learning new skills can be challenging and overwhelming, I didn't even need to discuss my training needs in depth with the instructor (Dom) as you could see he was constantly assessing everyone's needs and adapting the training to each person. I trusted him with my life and it is clear he is passionate about his job and training people to a high standard with SBT. The kit we were loaned was great condition and staying on the yacht was comfortable. We were all very tired by the end of day 5, but Dom kept spirits up and we had nice structured variety of things over the 5 days. I found it easy to book the course through SBT and plans / instructions for arrival were really clear. Thank you again, and especially to Dom for making it not only an enjoyable experience but I have certainly taken away some skills that will help me on my sailing journey! I hope to book more courses through SBT in the future. ????????

Had the most amazing experience at Solent Boat Training. Bryan was incredible, really friendly and very helpful. He made me feel comfortable when learning new skills, and I never felt rushed. I came out of the course feeling confident that I can apply the new skills I learned in a commercial setting. I’ll definitely be coming back to continue more courses!

I did the Day Skipper sailing course with Bella at SBT, and can't recommend her enough. She's very knowledgeable about sailing, and was tough but fair. She pushed me and demanded the highest standards of seamanship from me, which resulted in me significantly developing my sailing abilities.

Recently completed Competent Crew course with Terry, absolutely fantastic few days. Thoroughly enjoyable and informative whilst being great fun - I didn't anticipate laughing quite so much! Has really lit the fire of interest in doing some more sailing activities, don't forget the space hopper!
