Took the Power Boat level 2 course with Mario instructing at the end of August. End to end was an easy and enjoyable experience from enrolling on line to receiving the qualification licence. I liked most that it was a small group of 4 including the instructor, so plenty of opportunity to get hands on with the boat. Having had some experience on boats but not driving them I left the course feeling very confident about taking out a power boat responsibly. A very good course and I thoroughly recommend it

Had a great two days completing my Powerboat Level 2 course with SBT. Ben was a fantastic instructor – really knowledgeable, personable and great at making everyone feel comfortable and confident on the water. While each day included some classroom learning, the majority of the time was spent out on the water putting the skills into practice. With a maximum of just three people per course, there was plenty of opportunity to drive and get hands-on experience. The equipment was superb and, overall, I thought it offered brilliant value for money. I’d highly recommend SBT to anyone keen to get out on the water or simply looking to spend a couple of days learning a new skill. Thanks again to Ben and the team!

We had the best time with Solent Boat Training and couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Bryan was a fantastic instructor - he made the whole experience really interactive, engaging and, most importantly, fun. We tailored the course plan to the weather and he took the time to understand how I learn best and tailored the lessons around that, which made such a difference to my confidence and overall learning experience. The boat and equipment were also clean, well looked after and to a really good standard. I came away feeling genuinely confident in what I’d learnt and excited to get out on the water again. A brilliant experience from start to finish - thank you Bryan!

Easy to organise, good price, practical group size and decent facilities. Sean delivered a fab one day diesel engine course in an engaging, interesting and informative manner - I learned everything I'd hoped for, and more. Thank you!

The experience I had with our trainer, Shean at Solent boat training was excellent. I have been on two other PBL courses (Refresher) in the past, but the way Shean explained things in the classroom and especially on the water was great. I learnt more on that course than I did on the other courses. I live over three hours away from Southampton. Giving the experience I have had. I will be going back to Solent boat training, and will request if I could have Shean as the trainer. Well done Shean.

Just completed 4 days of Day Skipper Motorboat. Loved it, intense fun, with a well rounded course that ensured we kept moving forward and adding to the elements learned previously. Paul was brilliant, practical and real world, loved the night nav. I will move forward gathering hours now, and will certainly be looking to SBT for that. Excellent stuff

Excellent training in a relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed the 5 day competent crew course. The instructor was very experienced with a relaxed and calm manner. I came away feeling as though I had gained a lot of knowledge and experience, making me more confident for future sailing or further courses, Thankyou.

Absolute Fantastic Training Centre. Have just got back from completing my RYA Intermediate Course. We had the pleasure of being guided through the course by Bryan Pummell. He took his time teaching us the courses syllabus elaborating where necessary on gaps in understanding and equally moving on quickly when he identified we already had a good understanding. On top of being a great teacher he is also a lovely fella with a good sense of humour. Facilities are comfortable. Boats and equipment provided are good and the experience was wonderful. Both practical and theoretical parts of the course were an excellent. Will be back to complete my advanced and night navigation course. Look forward to returning. Joe
