A massive thank you to Roy our instructor for the 2 day PB2 course under his guidance and with only 3 students every individual got all the help needed, it was a fun filled 2 days with theory to start the morning session and then the rest of the time on the water, loved this 2 days course as Roy had made it so intresting and banter and great time, amazing feeling to come away with an RYA licence at the end of the 2 day course. Thanks again to Roy a great instructor, will be seeing you in the future as got more courses planned to do with SBT. Thanks to solent boat training. Angel Taylor

My son recently completed his powerboat level 2 course with Solent boat training. My husband and I were very impressed with the structure and content of the course as well as the professionalism and friendly attitude of the staff. My son was very happy with his trainer Roy and felt that he was very helpful and taught him a lot, he has come away very confident with his boating skills. I would absolutely recommend Solent boat training.

I have completed several courses with SBT. So far I've done my Competent Crew, two Mile builders as well as some shore based courses including my Day Skipper Theory and VFH Radio license. My experience has been amazing. I've had 3 different sailing instructors who have all been excellent (Bella, Magnus and Simon). I've learnt so much from all of them in such a short space of time and they've always been really fun and sociable trips, I can't wait to complete my Day Skipper practical in a few weeks. Sean has delivered all the shore based courses I've done and these have also been excellent. He always brings the subjects to life with his high energy, personal stories and humour. He keeps everyone engaged and takes time to ensure everyone understands before moving on to the next topic. Everyone is so passionate about sailing it's infectious. I'd recommend SBT to anyone!

Just completed the Two-Day RYA Helmsman’s Course with SBT. An excellent two-day course with plenty of hands-on training and experience on a twin-engined boat. Paul the instructor was very informative and patient and the course was both a really good learning experience and fun. Would definitely recommend the course. Thank you.

Completed my comp crew here end of Feb 2025. Had a great time on Hope with Debs and the rest of the crew, whilst learning a lot. Debs is really knowledgable and has a huge amount of experience, any upcoming crew/skipper will be lucky to work with her!

Took my powerboat level 2 here, was blessed by the weather, but regardless it would have been enjoyable. Roy made the experience extremely worthwhile, learning what was necessary while keeping a real world approach to make things make more sense and focus on what you would truly be up against. couldn't be happier with my experience.

I was genuinely apprehensive about starting the course, as I had never driven a boat before. However, Bryan was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I felt comfortable learning at my own pace. I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking some boating experience.

Had a fantastic weekend on a mile builder I. The Solent with friends and our awesome instructor Debs Batchelor.Loads of tips and advise as well as plenty of teaching and coaching. Always patient and totally the font of all knowledge!! Can’t recommend this more for those wanting to brush of the cobwebs or prepare and practice for training. Purses. Totally recommended!!
