I have never left a review for training provider but... Hippy Matt, Vegan Matt, Glastonbury Matt, the instructor with many names, but one thing is certain, he's a legend. Really clear delivery of information that I was struggling to take in, felt competent and informed by the end of the course, good laughs and helpful info. Will definitely recommend and be back for more courses.

I am a yachty that fancied having a go on a rib so did the Power Boat level 2 so I can operate a safety boat in races. Our instructor was Bryan who was fantastic. He didn't mind you asking questions that were beyond the level of the course. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and will definitely be back to refresh my other skills

Completed powerboat level 2 and had the most fun ever. The course was really well planned (especially around the weather). Our instructor Bryan was amazing. He was very kind, patient and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.

Just finished a brilliant 5 day comp crew & day skipper course. Terry, our instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, a brilliant educator and had a quality sense of humour, he made the whole experience a pleasure. The boat was in great condition and well looked after. The rate we secured was very competitive for our group size, especially compared to other companies. Will 100% be returning to SBT when I look to get my day skipper qualification. 10/10

Just completed Powerboat Level 2. The course was excellent with all the facilities within the marina. A particular shout out to Russ who was an excellent instructor both out on the water and in the classroom. The presentation he's put together mixing in videos makes all of the theory really easy to understand.

Booked a motorboat level 2 course with Solent , fantastic couple of days with our instructor Brian who was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble , if you didn't get it the first time he would go over it again . Plenty time in the boat , all the staff were also very friendly, a great couple of days. Many thanks again we will be back . Dave Ben and Archie

Good news, you have checked out the reviews! Having spent a week on a Day Skipper classroom theory course, I can safely say this is money well spent. Instruction from Sean is as good as it gets. I have been trained up the the eyeballs on "stuff" and this is the real deal. Reality is that you click and search, it's a gamble. This one paid off - I am so much better enabled to take on future challenges. Proof of the pudding is in the eating - and I was fed well. So good I am back next month on the water, and 2 more courses for the family in April. I got lucky with my clicking around and so have you if you are reading this. Highly recommended.

I just had an absolutely brilliant couple of days doing my Powerboat Level 2 with Mathew at Solent Boat Training. This is evidentially a place that treats learning on the water as a priority - something that suits my learning style - and puts the skills we are taught into action immediately and effectively. A lovely small group of three meant we had loads of time behind the wheel and lots of opportunity for questions. Matthew was a brilliant teacher with host of experience (an expert in approaching J.Davidson's little Buoy from the back), who struck the perfect balance between taking the serious stuff seriously and the fun stuff with good humour. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic time with Solent Boat Training doing my Powerboat 2. Both instructors were really knowledgable and fantastic and both days were a pleasure. I've previously done my VHF SRC with them and it was exactly the same. Great instructors, great facilities and an enjoyable learning experience all round.
