The Famous Cowes to Torquay Powerboat Race
First held in 1961, the 64th Cowes to Torquay Powerboat Race will start from Cowes - Isle of Wight - on Sunday 24th August 2025 and head towards Torquay.
With a fuel stop - off at Torquay, the Challenging 210 mile course will see racers powering along the South Coast at eye watering speeds in excess of 100 mph. With some race craft sporting Twin Engines and producing up to 2200hp, these Offshore Powerboats will be a spectacle, for those that might catch a glimpse.
The Race will start 09:00 off the Squadron Line, Egypt Point, in the Solent. After a 90 minute refuel in Torquay, vessels will return to the Solent to cross the finish line.
