One of our highly experienced Yachtmaster Instructors will guide you towards your goals, by offering you practical and theoretical practice sessions, aimed at preparing you for your chosen exam.
During the first 4 Days, you will be given the opportunity to practice marina manoeuvres, plan and undertake passages by day and by night and brush up on any navigational theory. In addition, you will be able to utilise some of the latest Raymarine Digital Navigational equipment, fitted onboard.
With state of the art Digital Radar, AIS, Forward and Rear Facing Cameras and much, much more, our Rodman 1040 Adv Motor Cruiser “Kingfisher” offers everything you might need to get you prepared.
Courses run through the Autumn to Spring period, ensuring there is ample opportunity for night-time navigation practice (beware of those offering Summer courses).
Located in the heart of Southampton and a stones throw from the busy Southampton Waters, you will be able to take advantage of this particular busy commercial area, where you will find the training both challenging and fulfilling. By practicing in some of the most challenging waterways in Europe, including the famous waters of the Solent, you can be assured that you will be better prepared for your exam.
On Day 5 of your preparation period, we will provide you with the motor vessel for your exam and liaise with your examiner, ready for the Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore (Motor) examination.
