It feels as though we can't get away from social media; it's everywhere. From YouTube, Facebook or Instagram and let's not forget AI searching, there is something for everyone to get lost in.
Are you likely to become a seasoned sailor, a competent boater or a master of yachts by watching videos or reading media posts? Well, of course not. But for those who need some additional advice, guidance or just need a little inspiration to move on, then socials can prove a helpful source of information.
Solent Boat Training is very much focused on the practical application of boating. We understand there is no substitute for getting out there and putting it all into practice. However, to maximize our presence and also to help those who wish to start a new venture or possibly advance further, SBT uses a number of social media platforms.
Our “SBT YouTube Channel” is growing slowly, with more Views, Likes and Subscribes each day. By offering more informative videos, such as knot-tying tutorials, yacht walkthrough videos, that will give you an intro to some of the layouts and equipment used during any given course, we hope you can benefit from a real world view of what we and you can do.
Videos that offer an overview of the type of training that Solent Boat Training offers, at our Southampton-based RYA Training Centre, are becoming more popular, and we hope that they will inspire our ever-increasing number of viewers to get involved.
Platforms such as “Instagram” and “Facebook” are great ways to keep in the loop. By providing short posts, not just by us @solentboattraining , but also by our customers and followers, you can quickly see what is currently going on at SBT, as well as what others have been involved in.
