How to get Afloat
Choosing a new hobby or sporting venture can be both exciting and expensive. You've spent vast amounts of time researching pricing, where to start and deliberating on whether it is the right choice for you.
We offer an almost "Try Before You Buy" experience, allowing you to take the opportunity to get out for a day on water. Under the guidance of one of our experienced and qualified Skipper/Instructors, you'll be offered the chance to get a "Real Hands-On" experience.
With a better understanding of what is involved and what it might really be like to undertake a training course in Sailing, before taking the leap, you will be better placed to make a more informed decision, as to whether this is, indeed right for you.
Solent Boat Training offer a variety of Sail Training Courses, starting as a complete beginner on the "Competent Crew Course", where you will learn the fundamentals of sailing and crewing. From there maybe you'd like to become the the "Day Skipper" where you are now the person in charge of the vessel and using the skills of all of those onboard to sail the vessel affectively. Or maybe you wish to become a "Master of Yachts" and become a commercial Skipper.
