A Two Day Sailing Event to Circumnavigate The Isle of Wight
Although the Iconic Round the Island Event is only a once yearly sailing event, you can join us at Solent Boat Training and Experience the trip yourself.
We endeavour to sail a pair of our Bavaria 37's, Round the Isle of Wight over 2 days, to allow you to experience the challenges of the sometimes complex tides and confused waters, found within and around the island and the Solent, over this 60+ mile passage. You will be under the safe guidance of one of our highly experienced Skippers, who will advise you if and when required.
Getting Involved & Team Building
You will need to use your skills as a Skipper or a Crew member to navigate the varying waters of the Solent, as well as the open waters on the South side of the Isle of Wight. This event will allow everyone to get involved and bond as a team, whilst experiencing the iconic sights, such as Hurst Castle, the Needles, St. Catherine's Point, Shanklin Bay, Bembridge, Cowes and many other landmarks and places of interest along the way.
